Biography:
Stripesy, later known as S.T.R.I.P.E., is a fictional character appearing in DC Comics, primarily associated with the Starman and Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. series.
Born Patrick "Pat" Dugan, he started his superhero career as Stripesy, the adult sidekick to the young Star-Spangled Kid (Sylvester Pemberton). A talented mechanic and driver, Pat built the Star-Rocket Racer, the duo's signature vehicle.
Years after the Justice Society of America disbanded, Pat remarried and moved to Blue Valley, Nebraska, becoming the stepfather of Courtney Whitmore. When Courtney discovered Sylvester's gear and became the new Star-Spangled Kid (later Stargirl), Pat, concerned for her safety, built a suit of powered armor, which he called S.T.R.I.P.E. (Special Tactical Robotic Integrated Power Enhancer).
As S.T.R.I.P.E., Pat fought alongside Stargirl against the new Injustice Society, providing her with support, guidance, and his engineering expertise. He is depicted as a loyal and protective father figure, committed to ensuring Courtney's well-being while she fulfills her heroic destiny.
